Explosive Reactive Armour (like its sloped variant, which is not structural) detonates when below half health or touched by a HEAT stream, causing the following effects:
- If triggered by a HEAT stream, the stream ends immediately.
- All non-CRAM projectiles within 2.25 m are removed.
- All non-CRAM projectiles within 16 m and 30 degrees of the armour's facing are removed.
- ERA armour reduces all explosive damage and radius to 20% of original (Added 1.964)

Ducts are an interesting and OP block if used correctly. They are intended to armor up propulsion without blocking the thrust, and this applies to fuel engine exhaust as well. Due to their size large ducts are incredibly effective at defending against armor piercing projectiles because to their massive health pool. However, larger duct seizes have less health and weight per block, but retain their cost. They have a drag of 0.05 on their front and back which works regardless of any blocks behind them. HESH projectiles unload their payload on ducts with 1 AP fragments while HEAT can pass through. As such, Ducts followed by wedges are incredibly effective as HEAT will do negligible damage while HEAT will either nun out of distance or its tight cone of fragments will do very little to wedges. However, the lack of bonus health like beams and reduce health at large sizes means it is more venerable to explosions and thump damage.
