Applique Panels are a non-structural block.
-Is not damaged by HEAT penetration
-Has a built in air gap inside it that will trigger HEAT fragmentation and HESH spall release
-Is treated as armour for HESH simulation, Increasing the armour piercing value of the spalling produced from it.

Applique panels are surprisingly durable and lightweight, but cannot be used in place of alloy or metal, as applique panels are non-structural blocks, and thus cannot take advantage of Armour Layering. Instead, it should be placed on the outside of armour to defeat HEAT, filling a similar niche as ERA. It also provides high survivability for its cost and weight, though worse than layered metal or alloy.
