The pistol is the first character-useable weapon available to players, costing no points. However, it is very limited. It has a slow fire rate, and takes 6 shots to destroy even a wooden block. The projectiles drop rapidly after approximately 45 metres, but consistently hitting anything but a stationary block is a challenge past 10 metres. It still has a longer range than a simple light cannon, allowing the player to supplement the armaments of their first vessel.
